Spring Break is the perfect time for kids to reset, recharge, and try something new—and at Yama Kids Yoga in Elmwood, Berkeley, we’ve designed a week that blends movement, creativity, and connection in a way kids truly love.
New this year: we’re hosting TWO Spring Break Camp sessions to better support local school schedules—so even more families can join in the fun! Register HERE to reserve your spot today!
Here’s what a day at Spring Break Camp looks like:
Morning Welcome & Energizing Yoga

Camp begins at 9:00 AM with warm greetings and light activities to help kids settle in. From simple crafts to gentle movement games, we ease into the day with intention.
By 9:30 AM, we roll out our mats for a dynamic, kid-friendly yoga session. Campers explore foundational poses, breathing techniques, and mindfulness practices in a way that feels playful and empowering. Beyond flexibility and balance, kids learn the heart of yoga—kindness, patience, and awareness of themselves and others.
Spring Break is all about fresh energy, and yoga helps kids channel that energy in healthy, positive ways.
Creative Time & Yoga Games

After a snack break, we shift into hands-on creative
projects. Whether painting, crafting, or building
collaborative art pieces, this time nurtures imagination and self-expression.
Later in the morning, we return to movement with interactive yoga games that bring laughter, teamwork, and connection. Spring Break camp is active—but always balanced with moments of calm and focus.
Lunch & Outdoor Play

After lunch, we head out to a nearby park like Willard or Sand Park (weather permitting). We begin with a short mindful moment outdoors, then let kids run, climb, and play. This combination of reflection and free movement helps everyone stay regulated and happy.
Rest & Reflection

Back at the studio in the afternoon, we wind down with a peaceful savasana (resting pose). This quiet time allows kids to reset, reflect, and leave camp feeling calm rather than overstimulated.
For families who need extended care, aftercare runs from 3:00–5:00 PM, offering extra play, snacks, and relaxed fun.
